"I was enamored with this song... I made it the rhythm of my 'walk'..."

January 2013 was teeming with promises... We set up early morning meetings, worked out on invitations for article submissions, redesigned our website, prepared our financial statements...
Our mind is set on being indexed this year (do pray with us)...

26th of January, one of my Saturdates received the Sacrament of Baptism together with her baby brother...

"I must receive this magic of the passing moment as grace..."
~ Henri Boulad, Ch.2 The Depth of the Present. All is Grace: God and the Mystery of Time. (NY:Crossroad Publishing Company), p. 19.

I was so happy to see the kids at five in the afternoon. My Saturdate, in a beautiful white dress, was giddy with excitement. We went together with her family to the Parish since Arvy and I also had an appointment with the catechist. There were about twenty-five candidates for the Mass Baptism and two for Confirmation.

I felt this was what I/we needed ~ fellowship~ a community to strengthen my/our faith...

Sundays, we get to visit my brother ~ we play, eat and paint 'a lot'... he calls it detoxification...

And we finally had our house fixed and re-painted...

My weeks were filled with 'to dos,' and I felt I needed some quiet time... seconds, minutes, hours just to be totally immersed in the moment...

"I needed to touch that pool again...

Do you also feel the need to be bathed in light? feel that sun's warmth? to be lost in a song? a dance?

...again and again...amidst life's frenetic schedules...

  3. Hi Melissa,

Indeed, I can totally relate to wanting to be bathed in light and feel the sun's warmth. With God there is always warmth and a light shining down on us.

    Thank you.

    1. Thanks Hiten :) I love how you alluded light and warmth to God...when I wrote that I was just thinking of light and warmth literally :)

To be surrounded by Him gives me peace and comfort :)

    1. Do pray for Arvy Martha...I really do not want to give up on this kid...

The song is in my language, the meaning of which is in the Book of Ruth... I have heard it played in the hospital during a visit and it stuck in my mind :)

Lots of love always! Will write you longer after...

  9. I haven't been baptized. hmmmmmm... many people ask me why i am not, I juts tell them that my parents were "not interested" in religion... so yeah, but I know God.

What do you get or feel when you put your hand on that touch pool? wahahahahhahahaha

    1. Hmmm... Baptism is one of the Sacraments of Initiation. I really pray for these kids to receive it so that they could proceed with the other sacraments...

I think it's better to experience 'touching' the pool Key than describe it in words :P

Thanks and I hope you're doing great :)

  10. A post on Baptism. Not sure how I ran across this one but it is inspiring to see all these children get baptized. I just had a friend who went through the process and now, I'm asking myself questions about when Baptism is right for me.

These kids are divine beings and hoping they'll spend their lives reflecting, understanding their divine nature and connection to God.

Enjoyed the photo of you fishing in the last photo. Did you catch anything. haha!

    1. I read this quote from Lemony Snicket,"If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives." Just a thought...

      I pray for you...

It's a touch pool. Yes, I caught a fish by my hand ;)
