A.S.K. and the Law of Attraction: Deepening Vocation 2nd part

"You can't be ambiguous. You will confuse the universe...," a dear friend laughingly told me three days ago.

I have shared with my him my 'call' and he asked me what have I been doing to achieve it...

Illusions, Law of Attraction and the Blue Feather

I have heard of the Law of Attraction from friends. They started talking about creating a positive mental attitude and manifesting it to the world. In fact, the very first book my sister gave me to read after I came back home was on this.

"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." ~ Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.

So this law defies 'magnetic interactions...?'

"Like attracts like Melissa. Believe and receive," my friend added,
"holding what you have in mind in your hands already.

Would you believe how convincing this was to me? It reminded me of Richard Bach's  Blue Feather ...

Yes,  I hear THE voice within.
It has always been here!

Now, all I have to do now is align my thoughts with my heart's desires...

 "What signals are you diffusing into the world?"

"Ask and it will be given to you
seek and you will find
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks,
the door will be opened."
~Mt. 7, 7-8 NIV

  2. Aligning your thoughts to your desires - that's a great way of putting it, Melissa. One book that helped me do that was Joseph Murphy's, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. Seems like I'm always coming by with book recommendations, huh? ♥

    1. Oh BS :) I love that you enrich me with your references. Thank you!

      I was able to find this one but I couldn't find Fr. Bekker's on Vocation :P

  3. I've started noticing that thoughts become things. haha hate to quote 'the secret' there but positive attracts positive and well, negative doesn't quite attract positive:) Negative attracts speeding tickets, police and jail time!?! (not me of course :)

    We can have intentions and desires. God will consider it more if we value it more:) And are congruent in our mind, body and spirit.

    I think the fact you're doing the Saturdates with so much enthusiasm and devotion, for example, will bring you more creativity, inspiration, mentorship and joy into your life.

    These kids seem so intense on their projects, by the way!

    1. Very funny that it does...so I'm looking at all those who come here. I like what you wrote about congruence in our mind, body and spirit. So we talk about 'unity,' 'oneness,' 'wholeness,' and 'harmony' at this time. It brings out everything that distracts and disturbs me. What comes to mind is oneness with God. Everything is in tune.

      Thank you very much for your encouragement Vishnu. The kids bring so much joy and life themselves. Lots of love and God bless!

    1. Was waiting for this dear daughter :) I thought my fave author is outdated...Richard Bach has a powerful influence over me much like Paulo Coelho does. I think when we see people living their vocation fully, or living out what they write or preach, it becomes easier to believe and say, I can 'also' do it.

      Lots of love Portia and thank you for always coming here to visit me.

  5. I do believe a lot in those words from The Alchemist. The universe does have a way of showing us where to go. <3 :-)

    1. I am amazed by this. I didn't know we could use 'universe' or the 'world' or 'energies' to create a path for us. How rich words are :)

      Sooo how are you Irene? I am very sure that the universe is showing you where to go but it also needs our cooperation... ;)

      Lots of love and blessings!
