Break the Silence

I’ve forgotten how it felt like… I had frozen every emotion at work to evade it
but here it comes knocking again...
like a sting that sensitizes me endlessly…

It has been a month that I’ve been contemplating on my moods.
My Irish art mentor Kevin taught me that emotions and creativity have nothing to do with each other… I could draw and paint well… make music and dance regardless of what I feel… those are talents embedded in me….

and I keep on looking back at what my friend Jim wrote on ABS…
the more I feel like not doing something…the more I should exert effort on doing it...

How do I keep on putting my heart out there.?

  1. Are we talking about a single person or a higher being? There are others who will listen. Just because one river stops flowing does not mean you can never fish again. Love is out there. Just not where we think it is.

  2. You have everything you need to find the joy amidst the sorrow of your moments. You have one of the most beautiful faiths-pure and passionate, that I've ever had the opportunity of coming across. God dwells within you as a bright burning flame, and a lot of times we choose pain or sorrow because we feel it's appopriate, and that can keep us from our talents and gifts. I think it's wise, what your mentor said, that despite your emotions you can keep on doing the things that God has blessed you with as gifts and talents. Keep on dancing, keep on painting...and before you know it, the moments of sadness will have passed, bringing you into brighter moments of joy than you have ever experienced.
Love you sister..I am blessed to know you and walk with you on my spiritual path :)

  5. i was just waiting for the post and you know why.

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.”
    Mother Teresa

when there is so much love to love, we must not forget to love the pain also, not limiting our understanding. HE is there to guide our painful soul towards the path of happiness, we just need to understand HIS blessings and the opportunities HE has given us more and more.

  6. Melissa pain is part of us just like love, laughter etc. We cannot alienate it from us but we can learn to understand and accept it but not get pulled by it... The poem by Kahlil Gibran is thought provoking.

  7. Melissa, first it sounds like you could use a hug right now. *hug* If you need a friend or a shoulder to cry on I’m right here (in spirit or phone or Facebook or email…)
How ideal the video of Khalil Gibran’s words on pain.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it…. 1 Corinthians 12:26
    Love and prayers…

  9. I agree with Jessica. You are one with a golden heart, pure and beautiful. Sometimes pain is necessary to cleanse us so that we can celebrate our joy. But do not stop yourself from what you are gifted with. Take care my soul sister.
